Champaign Police Investigate Shooting

On Monday, December 22, 2014, at approximately 1:10 A.M., Champaign Police Department officers responded to a report of a shooting at a residence in the 400 block of Brookwood Drive.

Upon arrival, officers located evidence of a shooting and two victims. One of the victims at the scene is a 40 year-old Champaign man who was found to be deceased. The second victim is a 35 year-old Urbana man that was transported to Carle Hospital with life threatening injuries. The identities of the victims are not being released at this time.

Detectives and Crime Scene Technicians are currently interviewing several individuals that were present at the scene and processing evidence related to the shooting. At this time no arrests have been made.

The Champaign Police Department is actively investigating this incident and is seeking the community’s assistance with this crime.
