The City of Champaign would like to announce that on Monday, September 22, 2014, West Washington Street between Russell Street and Garfield Avenue and the intersection of Washington Street and Russell Street will be closed to traffic. This closure is necessary to reconstruct the City’s infrastructure and improve drainage at the intersection of Washington Street and Russell Street. It is expected that the street will be open to traffic by November 29, 2014. We would like to thank the residents of Champaign for their understanding, patience, and cooperation during the project.
