In order to install new sanitary sewer connections at 519 E Green and at 524 E Green Street, Mid-Illinois Concrete will be closing all lanes of Green Street between Fifth Street and Sixth Street on:
· Monday, July 7 – Friday, July 11, 2014
These connections require excavations into the middle of the street from the north and south in order to gain access to the City of Champaign sanitary sewer main. The location of the work will not allow vehicular traffic to pass through the repair area. Traffic will be detoured north to Springfield Avenue at Fourth Street and at Wright Street. The road will be closed for as little time as is possible to complete the work. Coordinated and simultaneous construction operations for both properties will eliminate multiple closures in the 500 block of Green Street.
