On October 23, 2013, at 11:40 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 500 block of E. Beardsley for a report of a shooting in the area of Douglass Park.
Upon arrival, officers encountered a 23-year-old male who had sustained a gunshot wound. The victim reported walking in the area when he was shot. No suspect or vehicle description was provided to police.
Detectives are currently conducting interviews with witnesses and attempting to locate the suspect(s) responsible for this crime.
