After a very busy June, the Public Works Department saw a decrease in service requests submitted during the month of July. Citizens and City staff submitted 423 total requests during July 2013. This count decreased by 517 (-122%) compared to the 940 requests that were received in June. The chart below tracks the number of requests recorded each day by staff.
Twenty-five (6%) of the total number of service requests were submitted through SeeClickFix, a mobile phone application.
The Forestry Section continued to receive calls related to storm-damaged trees and received the most service requests at 144 (34%). The Sewer Section was responsible for their normal sewer calls and other miscellaneous requests totaling 121 (29%) in number. The Traffic and Lighting Section was third with 37 (9%) requests for electrical problems.
The most requested service was for tree inspections with 34 requests. Second most frequent call was requesting tree pruning with 29 requests. Third was the request to pick up dead animals with 26 calls.
