Commencing Wednesday, May 8, 2013, weather permitting, Microsurfacing Contractors, LLC will begin slurry sealing the oil and chip type streets in the southeast portion of Champaign. The streets are south of Kirby Avenue and east of Prospect Avenue; the Hessel Park area; and Mattis Avenue between Windsor and Curtis Roads (see attached map). The streets will be closed for about four hours until the slurry is cured. Residents will be notified by door flyers the day before closing and should have their cars parked outside the work area if needed. Please do not park on the streets that are posted “No Parking” from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. No work will be done on Saturdays.
