The landscaping beds at the customer service entrance to the Public Works building will be revamped this spring, beginning on Monday, April 15. The new landscape design, provided by Jessica Lopez, Landscape Design Studio, includes new bollard lighting as well as new plant and hedge installation. The lighting portion of the project will be completed first by Remco Electric Corp., followed by the landscaping installation by Deem Landscaping, Inc. The customer service entrance will remain open to visitors, however this work will require the closure of the sidewalk from Edgebrook Drive to the Public Works entrance and a portion of the sidewalk adjacent to the visitor parking area (see map). Barricades will designate a safe path for pedestrians to access the main entrance. The five on-street parking spaces south of the work area will be reserved for contractor use for the duration of the project. Additional staff parking is available in the employee parking areas at 702 Edgebrook Drive and at the former Parking Programs building at 713 Edgebrook Drive. All visitor parking will remain open. The project is scheduled to be complete by June 15, 2013.
