The scheduled closure of Interstate 57 (between the Monticello Rd exit and the I-72 exit) during the overnight hours of Wednesday April 10th has been cancelled. The updated schedule is as follows:

Further updates may be necessary as we monitor the weather forecast. The closure is for the bridge carrying Windsor Road over Interstate 57. Interstate traffic will be detoured utillizing Monticello Road, US Route 45 (S. Neil Street), Springfield Avenue (Illinois Route 10), Mattis Avenue and Interstate 72 (Church Street for Westbound, University Avenue for Eastbound) as well as the Interstate 57/72 interchange.
The overall project has an anticipated completion date of November 1, 2013, weather permitting. The contractor for the $2,376,785 project is O’Neil Bros. Construction.
Motorists are advised to slow down, obey posted limits and drive carefully through this and all work zones. Due to the high volume of traffic, motorists may want to consider alternate routes.
