A total of 273 service requests from citizens and City staff were recorded during July 2012 in the Public Works’ Department. This was a decrease of 40 requests (13%) from the previous month’s count of 313. The chart below tracks the number of requests recorded each day by staff.
The community seemed to be in a cleanup mode on July 23 when 31 service requests were submitted. Of the 31 requests, eight were for the pickup of miscellaneous debris/garbage, four were requests for street sweeping, and one was for the cleanup of graffiti.
The Forestry Section received the most service requests 64 (23%) for the second month in a row. Miscellaneous requests (responded to by the Sewer Section) were second with 44 (16%) and Asphalt requests were third with 35 (13%). Pothole requests returned to “most frequent request” with 22 (8%) requests. Tree inspection requests were second with 19 (7%) calls. Third was the request for the pickup of miscellaneous debris with 17 (6%) calls.
