A total of 313 service requests from citizens and City staff were recorded during June 2012 in the Public Works’ Department. This was a decrease of 11 requests (3%) from the previous month’s count of 324. The chart below tracks the number of requests recorded each day by staff.
There was a sharp decline in the number of requests for pothole repair from May to June. There were only 12 compared to 49. The Forestry and Sewer Sections saw their requests increase.
The Forestry Section received 79 (25%) total requests followed by 68 (22%) miscellaneous requests handled by the Sewers’ crew. The most frequent request was for tree pruning at 31 (10%) calls). Dead animal pickup and sewer backup were next at 27 and 26 respectively.
