Police Wrap Up Burglary Investigation
(With the Assistance of Norridge Illinois Police Department)
On March 17, 2010 three suspects, wanted in connection with a Champaign burglary that occurred earlier that day, were arrested without incident by Officers of the Norridge Police Department following a traffic stop in Norridge Illinois.
While conducting a traffic stop for Improper Use of Registration (license plates), officers observed a distinct duffle bag in the car that was taken along with other items reported as stolen from a home in the 1700 block of Mullikin Drive in Champaign.
The traffic stop resulted in a citation for Improper Use of Registration and the arrest of those believed responsible for the Champaign Burglary. Additionally, officers were able to recover the victim’s property and locate the tools that are believed to have been used to forcibly enter the victims’ home. These same suspects are also believed to be responsible for an attempted burglary that occurred in the 1200 block or Armory Street in Champaign that same afternoon.
