CRO Hosts Quarterly Association Meeting
The Community Relations Office hosted the Illinois Municipal Human Relations Association (IMHRA) quarterly meeting on Tuesday, May 2, 2017. The quarterly meeting attendees included the City of Springfield, City of Normal, City of Urbana, City of Danville, City of Peoria, the Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR) personnel which included the Director and Chief Legal Counsel. Information on the consolidation of IDHR and the Illinois Human Rights Commission (IHRC) was presented as well as legislative updates impacting local municipalities. The members also discussed plans for an annual conference and unveiled a demo of a new IMHRA website.
