On August 15, 2018, Tracy Parsons (Equity, Community and Human Rights Office) and Chief Anthony Cobb from the Police Department, attended the Goal Getters celebration event at Unit 4’s Mellon Building. The Goals Getters are high school students that received leadership and development training for 8 weeks on Monday and Tuesday nights. At the graduation, the young men received a t-shirt, food and a certificate of completion for attending the program. The young men will continue to receive support through the school year. Deputy City Manager Joan Walls was also instrumental in the development of the program.
