Foreclosure filings through July of 2017 are now reported. The chart below outlines foreclosure activity within the City of Champaign over the past few years.

Through July 30 of 2017, an average of 1.9 foreclosures was filed per month. This is slightly higher than the average for 2016 at 1.6 filings per month. RealtyTrac states Champaign County is considered a moderate risk on their indicator chart as one in every 1784 housing units within the City of Champaign received a foreclosure notice in June 2017. Staff will continue to monitor City of Champaign filings to assess the impact on the community.
