In order to continue work on the Phase 2 West Washington Street Drainage Project, Stark Construction will be closing the outer east lane of northbound Mattis Avenue between Church Street and the railroad. Northbound Mattis Avenue will be reduced to a single lane though a short work zone; minor traffic delays may occur.
Church Street traffic will not be impacted by this project.
As a result of this closure, eastbound Glenn Park Drive will be closed at Mattis Avenue. Eastbound Glenn Park Drive between Mattis Avenue and Miller Avenue will remain open to local traffic in both the eastbound and westbound directions during this project. Local traffic will be able to enter eastbound Glenn Park Drive from Victor Street or Miller Avenue.
Westbound Glenn Park Drive between Mattis Avenue and Miller Avenue is permanently closed. Westbound Glenn Park Drive is the site of the new detention basin under construction by this project.
This work is planned to start on Monday, April 10 at 7:00 a.m. and will be completed and reopened to traffic by Monday, April 24 at 5:00 p.m.
Additional Mattis Avenue closures will occur in this area following the completion of this phase. More information will be released prior to additional closures.
