Open Road Paving Company continues work on Stage 2 (Bradley Avenue to Bloomington Road / Route 150) of the Staley Road Project. Remaining work items for Stage 2 consists of paving the surface course, placing an aggregate shoulder, pavement striping, guardrail installation, and seeding. This work is expected to be complete by the end of August 17, 2012 week.
Beginning Monday, August 20, 2012 (weather permitting) Open Road Paving Inc. will close Stage 1 (Springfield Avenue to Bradley Avenue) to complete roadway resurfacing, placing an aggregate shoulder, pavement striping, and seeding. Local access will be allowed for residents and businesses adjacent to Staley Road. All other traffic will be directed to the marked detour route. All work on the Staley Road Project is expected to be complete on August 25, 2012.
Some of the property owners have not signed the cost participation agreements necessary for the installation of the sidewalks. The sidewalk installation will be deferred until next year. Staff had previously communicated to all of the owners that this was a possible outcome. We will be notifying the owners by mail of the revised schedule for sidewalk installation.
