Notice of Virtual Bidding Process: In order to ensure bid openings for competitive bids remain open to the public in accordance with State law and City Code while abiding by COVID-19 guidelines, City bid openings will now be conducted in an electronic meeting format. Prior to the closure of the City Building due to the ongoing pandemic, public bid openings were conducted in-person in the City Council Chambers. With the new electronic bid opening process, contractors and vendors will not be able to enter the City Building and hand deliver their bid packages to the Finance Department. Instead, bidders will submit bid packages in one of the following ways: mail to the Finance Department (102 N. Neil St., Champaign, IL 61820), submit electronically via Tyler Munis Vendor Self Service, or place in the drop box located near the front entrance of the Champaign City Building (102 N. Neil St., Champaign). After the bid deadline, Finance Department staff will collect all hard copy bid packages received via mail or the drop box. Staff will open the hard copy bid packages and electronic bid submissions at the date and time specified in the bid documents. The bid packages and electronic submissions will be opened and read aloud and telecast live on CGTV and live streamed on the City’s website (champaignil.gov/CGTV). Bidders and the public may email questions during the bid openings to the Project Manager listed in the bid specifications. All questions will be read allowed and answered after the bid opening.     Invitation to Bid – Janitorial Services for the Champaign Police Department

    The City of Champaign is accepting bids for Janitorial Services for the Champaign Police Department.  This agreement shall be in effect from July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2022, with two (2) individual one-year Option Year periods.  Request Bid Documents Here.

    Invitation to Bid – 2021-22 Refuse Collection Services: On-Street Receptacles and City Facilities with Four (4) Option Year Extension Periods

    The City of Champaign is accepting bids for 2021-22 Refuse Collection Services: On-Street Receptacles and City Facilities with Four (4) Option Year Extension Periods. The contract will require the contractor to collect refuse from on-street receptacles and City facilities containers for the period July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2022, with four, one-year contract extension options. Option years, if accepted by the City, would commence on July 1, 2022, and expire on June 30, 2023, for the first option year; commence on July 1, 2023, and expire on June 30, 2024, for the second option year; commence on July 1, 2024, and expire on June 30, 2025, for the third option year; commence on July 1, 2025, and expire on June 30, 2026, for the fourth option year.     Request for Letters of Interest – Engineering Services for Mattis Avenue Project (Windsor Road to Curtis Road)

    The City of Champaign (City) invites your firm to submit a Letter of Interest to provide the City with professional engineering services for a project on Mattis Avenue (Windsor Road to Curtis Road).  The City intends to use a qualification-based selection process for the procurement of these services (City of Champaign Administrative Policy 2.08).  The selection is for Phase I, Phase II, and Phase III services.  Phase I efforts will begin in 2021.  Construction is tentatively scheduled for 2025.  Review the Letter of Interest.
