Community Coalition Work
Community Relations Manager, Tracy Parsons, staffed a table at the Champaign Central vs. Danville High School basketball game on January 8. The purpose of the table was to help community members fill out Neighborhood Needs Assessment forms. These surveys are an initiative of the Community Coalition’s Community Violence Response Task Force and are a way to inform the Coalition of residents’ neighborhood-specific needs. Joining him were Maurice Hayes, an Outreach Worker for Champaign-Urbana Area Project, and Bev Baker, Director of the Community Impact Team at United Way of Champaign County.
