The City of Champaign issued a permit for a special event to be held in the City Parking lot at Neil Street and Washington Street on Saturday, October 5, 2019. In order to set up for the event, the north half of the lot will be closed beginning Wednesday, October 2. The remainder of the lot will be closed beginning Thursday, October 3. The lot will be reopened on Sunday, October 6.
Due to this special event, the parking lot at Neil Street and Washington Street will be closed and unavailable. Visitors to the Downtown area are encouraged to park at the Hill Street Parking Deck located at 123 W. Hill in Downtown Champaign.
