Three City employees – City Manager Dorothy Ann David, Deputy City Manager Joan Walls, and Financial Services Manager Courtney Kouzmanoff – attended the 8th annual Women’s Legacy Conference in Naperville on May 17. The theme of this year’s conference was “Breaking Through Barriers.” The conference was hosted by the Legacy Project, an organization dedicated to the advancement of women in public leadership in local government. The event’s keynote speaker was Sara Taylor, who presented “Filter Shift: How Effective People See the World.” The speech primarily focused on the need to check personal biases to effectively lead in diverse organizations.
