Staff from the Neighborhood Services Department partnered with the Champaign Park District to host the third in a series of neighborhood Based block parties on Thursday, July 27. The block party was held in Toalson Park in the Ashland Park subdivision after area residents voted for it to be held in their neighborhood. Acting Neighborhood Coordinator Nina Sibley coordinated food and the Park District ensured there was a DJ, entertainment, a bounce house, and face painting. Members of the Ashland Park Neighborhood Watch group volunteered to serve the food. Approximately 100 residents enjoyed the evening in the park.
