Published writers from Champaign County are invited to participate.
Champaign Public Library is celebrating local writing talent with a Local Author Festival to be held on Saturday, April 11 from 11 am to 3 pm. This is a free event open to the public.
Local authors will have an opportunity to meet readers and other writers while promoting and selling their published books.
As part of the event, community members can attend talks by several experts about the writing process and hear best-selling author Michael Perry speak about his journey to becoming a successful writer. Perry’s works include Truck: a love story and Population 485.
Authors from Champaign County wishing to reserve a space can register by sending their name, address, phone, website, book title(s), and genre via email to [email protected]. Space is limited and reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis.
