On September 15, staff from the Police, Public Works, and Human Resources Departments attended the Community Job Fair hosted by the Champaign Library. The City regularly attends this bi-annual event which attracts job seekers from across the community and surrounding areas. During the event, representatives of these departments discussed and promoted current and future City employment opportunities with community job seekers.
The job fair saw in attendance over 200 community members and was a great opportunity to promote the City as an employer of choice in our community. The City plans to attend the next job fair held by the library in the spring. As a reminder, persons interested in City employment may also visit the City of Champaign Jobs page to view current position openings. If interested in a position that is not currently open, an online Job Interest Card may be completed to be informed when applications are being accepted for the position.
