The Champaign Police Department kicked off its 2026 Coffee with a Cop series on Wednesday, March 11 at The Caffeine RX, 107 N. Walnut, in Downtown Champaign. Coffee with a Cop events provide opportunities for open dialogue between members of the community and the Champaign Police Department over a cup of coffee. The event was held from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and drew residents from throughout Champaign and several City staff for a chat. Along with employees from Human Resources, Equity, and Engagement, Mayor Deborah Frank Feinen also stopped by for a cup and a conversation.
Coffee with a Cop events are scheduled quarterly around Champaign to reach residents in a variety of locations.
