Community Relations Manager Speaks at Police Training Institute

On January 9, Community Relations Manager Tracy Parsons attended the Police Training Institute as a guest speaker. During the session, City staff emphasized the importance of strong police-community relations and meaningful community engagement, highlighting the value of officers building visibility, trust, and familiarity within the communities they serve.

City staff also shared insights into the unique dynamics of our community and discussed how law enforcement is perceived by community members. These perspectives provided cadets with a deeper understanding of community expectations and the role of relationship-building in effective policing. The discussion concluded with guidance aimed at preparing cadets to serve our community with awareness, respect, and accountability.
