Public Works will begin picking up yard waste on Monday, December 8, 2025 for BOTH Blue and Orange Collection Zones, weather permitting. All residents should place their yard waste bags near the curb before 6 a.m. on Monday, December 8, 2025. Crews will work through the City and pick up all bags starting Monday and move through the collection zones each day until all bags have been collected.
Find your collection zone! Visit champaignil.gov/yardwaste click on the Yard Waste collection map and enter your address. Collection is available to all residential properties within City limits.

Residents are also encouraged to sign up for automatic e-mail notification of this and all future yard waste collections at the City’s website.
