On August 29, 2024, Code Compliance Inspector, Ricardo Alvarez, and Administrative Assistant, Nina Sibley, attended the Re-Entry Resource fair hosted by Rosecrance. The fair was attended by both people who have been recently released from incarceration, and representatives from local agencies offering supportive services to that population. Attendees learned more about the City’s tenant requested inspection process, and the federally funded housing rehab programs available to low-income homeowners.

Additionally, as the City completes the 2025/2029 Consolidated Plan, attendees were invited to share their thoughts on the most urgent needs in our neighborhoods and housing by completing the Community Needs Survey. The Consolidated plan outlines needs, goals, and strategies for HUD-funded programs over the next five years, and responses to the survey will help inform how these program funds are spent locally.
