The City of Champaign congratulates Jamar Brown on his appointment to the District 3 City Council seat. Following an application and interview process, the Champaign City Council voted to appoint him to fill the vacancy during the June 18, 2024, Council meeting. Council Member Brown was sworn in and took his seat that same night. He filled the vacancy created when former Council Member Daniel Iniguez resigned on May 14, 2024.
