On Thursday, June 15, 2023, the Neighborhood Services Department hosted a game night in Turnberry Ridge park. Game nights are designed to bring neighbors together to enjoy an evening of fun in their own neighborhood parks. Staff simply show up, set up, and provide games, music, a bounce house and frozen treats for whatever neighbors stop by.
As part of the 43:43:43 Neighborhood Engagement Campaign, the game night in the park series encourages registered groups to meet up in their own neighborhood parks. Registered groups can utilize small grant funds to host a cookout, movie night, or their own game night, and even have use of NSD’s engagement trailer which is stocked with tables, chairs, tents, a grill, RC cars, and various games to help make their event a success. Game nights are held in select parks throughout the city on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Thursday of each month through July.
