The Champaign Fire Department responded to a fire inside a home at 1712 Paula Dr., Sunday, February 28 at 4:12 p.m. Fire crews quickly extinguished the fire in this single-family residence.
Firefighters responded to a report from a passerby of smoke coming from this single-story home. Once on the scene, firefighters reported smoke coming from the eaves and deployed multiple hose lines to quickly extinguish the fire found inside the bedroom of the home.
The cause of this fire is undetermined as investigators remain on the scene conducting their investigation. There were no firefighter injuries reported. The occupants will be displaced as a result of this fire.
