The DRAFT Annual Action Plan and DRAFT Neighborhood Programs Manual have been published to the City’s website and is available for public comment until April 13. A copy of these documents are also available at the Champaign Public Library, the Douglass Branch Library and at the Neighborhood Services Department.
The Annual Action Plan is a document mandated by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) that outlines local affordable housing and community development needs and identifies strategies for addressing them. The plan identifies activities that the City expects to undertake through direct action or through the provision of funding to other entities.
The Neighborhood Programs Manual is the policies and procedures for the programs offered through the Neighborhood Services Department. These programs are made available to provide opportunities for neighborhood wellness and housing opportunities for citizens of Champaign.
Both documents are available for public comment for 30 days and will be proposed for City Council approval on May 3. If you have any questions or comments about either document, please contact Janel Gomez in the Neighborhood Services Department at 403-7070.
