Information Technologies Department (ITD) staff videotaped the Mahomet Aquifer Summit held at the Champaign Public Library on July 12, 2014. The Summit was held as an educational seminar to educate the public about local efforts to protect the Mahomet Aquifer from contamination. Multiple presentations were made by experts on this important issue. Several elected officials also spoke about the importance of protecting the sole source of drinking water for Champaign and much of Central Illinois. The video airs regularly on CGTV and is also available on the City’s website and YouTube page.
