The Public Works Department saw a large increase in service requests during the month of February. Citizens and City staff submitted 669 total requests during February 2014. The chart below tracks the number of requests recorded each day by staff.
More citizens began using the mobile phone application, SeeClickFix, to report any problems. There were 83 (12.4%) services requests submitted through this phone app.
The largest number of calls, 257 (38%), fell under the “snow and ice” category. The Asphalt Section received the second largest number of calls with 183 (27%). Sewer problems were third with 104 (15.5%) service requests.
The most requested service was, not surprisingly, for pothole repair with 183 (26.9%) requests. The second most frequent call was requesting snow plowing with 147 (21.6%) requests. In third place was mailbox repair (damage caused by plowing) with 60 (8.8%) requests.
