Champaign Police Memorial: Honoring and Remembering our Fallen Law Enforcement Officers

The Champaign Police Department invites the community to join us again this year to honor and remember law enforcement officers from across the country who made the ultimate sacrifice, as well as the family members, friends and fellow officers they left behind.

The Champaign Police Memorial will take place tomorrow, Friday May 18, 11:15 AM at West Side Park, Champaign.

The service will recognize those officers killed in the line of duty, including fallen Champaign Police Officers Thomas Dodsworth—end of watch: July 6, 1913, and Robert L. Tatman—end of watch: November 25, 1967.

Directly after the service, the Department will form a motorcade to the Champaign County Courthouse for the county-wide memorial, starting at 12 noon.

Champaign Police Officers will wear mourning bands in remembrance of those fallen officers and to honor their memory.
