The Champaign Fire Department is now accepting applications for the 2017-2019 Probationary Firefighter eligibility list until November 12, 2016 via the National Testing Network website (www.nationaltestingnetwork.com).
The Champaign Fire Department will also host a recruitment information meeting on Saturday, October 15, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. to noon. This voluntary meeting will be held at Champaign Fire Department Station 1, 307 S Randolph Street and no pre-registration is required. Parking will be available on site, south of the fire station off Cottage Court, and north of the fire station in the Christie Clinic parking lot.
Anyone interested in learning more about a rewarding career in the fire service is encouraged to attend. Members of the Champaign Fire Department will be available to answer questions, provide tours of the station, and discuss what a day at the firehouse is like. Attendees will learn more about the application and testing process.
