Neighborhood Services staff met with Champaign Unit 4 School officials to discuss public engagement strategies related to the redevelopment of school facilities. The initial meeting discussed the redevelopment of Dr. Howard Elementary School and the desire of school officials to host several community meetings to generate input concerning proposed construction plans. NSD will work with Champaign Unit 4 School District to provide technical support and expertise as they seek to engage the impacted neighborhoods and the overall community. NSD will also work with Champaign Unit 4 School District on an as needed basis to support their public facilities engagement efforts.
