The latest episode of Champaign Connection runs now through the end of September.
- Jonathan Westfield (School Resource Officer) discusses “Stranger Danger” and what parents and children should do to make this school year a safe one. He also reviews school zone traffic rules that some drivers might find confusing.
- David Oliver (Code Compliance Manager) explains the City’s rules regarding tall grass and weeds, and why they can pose serious safety hazards to motorists. Also learn about various alternatives to grass which some Champaign property owners are enjoying.
- John Koller (Fire Marshall) discusses the revamped Community CPR Program. Learn how residents can sign up now for this lifesaving class, and why firefighters say you really can make a difference and save someone’s life.
Champaign Connection is an award-winning 30-minute news magazine which helps the City better communicate with its residents. The show airs on CGTV (Comcast channel 5 and U-verse channel 99) nightly at 6:30 PM. The show is also available on-demand on the City’s website and YouTube page. The Champaign Connection is produced by the Information Technologies Department with input from the Communications Advisory Committee.
