The Champaign Police Department will be hosting an Open House for the community on May 14, 2012. The event will be held during National Police Week (May 13-19, 2012), an event recognizing the service and sacrifice of U.S. law enforcement.

The event is a great opportunity to have fun, meet your Police Chief and police staff, and learn more about your local police department. There will be tours of the police department, presentations and demonstrations from the K-9 Unit, SWAT team, Hostage Negotiations team, Crime Scene Technicians and Explosive Ordinance Disposal units. There will also be a historical display and activities planned for the whole family.
