Jobs: The Selection Process
The length of each hiring process will vary, but the intent is to move as quickly as possible. After the application deadline, the process may take 2 to 6 weeks, or longer, before interviews are scheduled. You should receive notice about your status or when you are no longer under consideration. You can also view the status of your application by logging into Your Jobs Account.
If your contact information has changed since you submitted your application, and you have not received notification that you are no longer being considered for the position, please contact Human Resources at 217-403-8770 or email@example.com to provide your updated information.
All applicants will be informed of the decision reached. Applicants who are eliminated will be notified as soon as possible. Do not be discouraged if you are not selected for a position. Please continue to reapply for future jobs with the City of Champaign.
All positions are advertised on the City’s Jobs Page. If you are interested in a position that is not currently open and would like to be informed when we are accepting applications for that position, complete a Job Interest Card. You will be notified by e-mail if any positions in the categories you selected become available within the next 12 months.
