About Davion Williams

I was born in Danville, IL, and at the tender age of six I moved to the Urbana-Champaign area with my mother and brother. I have been a product of both Urbana and Champaign school districts. After graduating from Urbana High School, I obtained a Bachelor of Music Performance from HBCU Central State University (2011) and a Master of Music Performance and Literature from the University of Illinois – Urbana Champaign (2018).

I am a member of Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church where I serve as Director of Music and Media. With Mt. Calvary, I have participated in Dare to Care, a community outreach project to pass out school supplies, Stone Creek’s Big Give, and volunteers as a conductor for the MLK Celebration Community Choir. In my spare time, I love to write and arrange music, cook and bake, spend time with my family. I am also a proud member of the Champaign-Urbana Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. (Spring 2015), and All African People’s Development & Empowerment Project (AADPEP).
