Human Rights Ordinance

The City of Champaign’s Human Rights Ordinance was developed with the intent to secure an end to discrimination in the areas of employment, housing, public accommodation, and lending/credit. City Ordinance prohibits discrimination in any of these areas on the basis of age, color, creed, family responsibilities, marital status, matriculation, national origin, personal appearance, physical and mental disability, political affiliation, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, prior arrest or conviction record, or source of income.
