In order to complete tree removal, the University of Illinois will close all eastbound lanes of Kirby Avenue between Fourth Street and Goodwin Avenue. The closure will occur on Monday, August 18, 2025, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., weather permitting. During the closure, eastbound traffic will be detoured in the area. Westbound traffic lanes will remain open during the work.
