The Champaign Fire Department responded to a working fire in the 3300 Block of Boulder Ridge Drive on June 12, 2025, at 10:43 a.m. Upon arrival on the scene, fire crews found heavy fire and smoke coming from the rear of a duplex. Crews quickly deployed multiple hose lines inside and outside of the unit and extinguished an exterior fire that traveled into the attic.
All occupants had exited the house by the time responders arrived and no injuries to civilians or firefighters were reported. The Champaign Fire Department reminds residents to have working smoke detectors in all areas of the house.
