Boneyard Creek Community Day a Success

More than 500 volunteers took part in the Annual Boneyard Creek Community Day event on April 12. More than 300 bags of trash were collected at Scott Park. Some of the most common items picked up from this year’s event included plastic bags, plastic food wrappers, Styrofoam, foam parts and wrappers, plastic caps and bottles, and straws.

Public Works Director Terry Lusby, Jr. and Neighborhood Services Director, Rob KowalskiCity staff also helped volunteers at remote locations, including Interstate Drive and North Prospect, Ashland Park Homeowner’s Association, and the Edgebrook Neighborhood Group. This event is organized by several entities throughout the community.
