On Wednesday, March 12, 2025, the Neighborhood Services Department launched a new series of information sharing and capacity building meetings to support our neighborhood leaders and volunteers. The first Neighborhood Relations Division (NRD) Resource Exchange meeting focused on the topic of goose management. The first meeting was well attended by representatives from neighborhood groups and HOA groups throughout the city. Craig Bloomquist from USDA APHIS Wildlife Services, provided information and gave a presentation highlighting various ways to manage geese populations. Also in attendance, representatives from the Friends of Geese provided information on local resources to support goose management efforts.
The NRD Resource Exchange was the first in a series of 1-hour meetings connecting subject matter experts to neighborhood volunteers to share pertinent information and resources. The next NRD Resource Exchange is scheduled for Monday, March 17, 2025. Zoning Administrator, Kat Trotter (Planning and Development) will present information on the topic of neighborhood zoning issues.
