America Recycles Day @ Boneyard Creek on Saturday, October 26

Please join in on Saturday, October 26, from 10 a.m. to Noon to pick up litter for America Recycles Day @ Boneyard Creek. This event will be hosted by City staff and members of Keep Champaign Beautiful. A free pizza lunch will be provided immediately following the cleanup. For planning purposes, it is requested that volunteers pre-register at champaignil.gov/ard.  This is a great way to keep the community engaged in clean-up efforts and to remove any litter that is cluttering up the waterways. It is also a great opportunity to educate residents about the benefits of recycling.

America Recycles Day is an initiative of Keep America Beautiful and is nationally held on November 15th to promote and celebrate recycling in the United States. Each Keep America Beautiful affiliate community hosts an event in late October or early November tailored to their unique needs. This local event is an opportunity to raise awareness for the national America Recycles Day effort.  Contact Nichole Millage, [email protected], or Leslie Heath, [email protected], for questions.
