On August 2, 2024, staff from the City Manager’s Office, the Equity and Engagement Department, the Police Department, and Public Works Department came together with their interns to celebrate the conclusion of the Summer Youth Employment Services (YES) Program. From 11 am to 1 pm, the team enjoyed a delightful lunch and engaged in fun games at West Side Park, marking a festive end to the interns journey before they return to school. Deputy City Manager, Joan Walls was in attendance to interact with the students and Community Relations Specialist, Mikal Washing gave remarks about the students growth and future. A special thank you to the City’s Human Resources and Finance Department for making this amazing opportunity possible for everyone. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all our Summer YES interns for their dedication and hard work throughout the program.
