The Hedge POP! Park is receiving a refresh ahead of the summer months. Last week, City Staff from the Planning and Development, Neighborhood Services Department and Engineering Division worked with dedicated volunteers from First Followers and about 10 neighborhood kids to spread mulch, place planter boxes, pick up liter and also have some fun! More work will be done to replace the soccer goal, plant flowers, construct a reader/events board and build a sandbox area.
The Equity and Engagement Department, with assistance from Neighborhood Services and Planning and Development is currently building a schedule of activities that will take place at the space on a regular basis this summer. The Hedge POP! Park will be decommissioned in late August and preparations are made for construction of the permanent park and basins.
