CommYOUnity Block Party at MLK Subdivision

On September 1, 2022, the Neighborhood Services Department supported the MLK Subdivision with a neighborhood-based block party in connection with the “CommYOUnity: It Takes You To Make It Work” campaign. More than 40 neighbors enjoyed an evening of food, games, and music. Resource and information vendors included representatives from the Police, Fire, Equity and Engagement Department, First Followers, CU Tri, and the YMCA. Neighbors were excited to see Lt. Andre Davis on the grill, helping to flip some burgers, and others received bookbags while at the event.

This year’s CommYOUnity events provided a family-friendly atmosphere, supported community engagement, and promoted goodwill throughout the community. The Neighborhood Services Department wishes to thank the neighbors at MLK Subdivision for hosting this event.  The City’s Neighborhood Ambassadors look forward to supporting our  neighborhoods and residents throughout the remainder of the year.
