August 18th, 2022, Charles Young, Justice Victim Advocate (E&E), performed the Illini Anthem in front of a packed crowd of incoming students for UIUC’s Sights & Sounds event. This is a premier student engagement opportunity that hosts freshmen and transfer students under the bright lights of Memorial Stadium. The Illini Anthem is officially a new University tradition and the first hip hop fight song to represent a Big 10 School.
